I know it will be well-nigh impossible to generate any discussion on this subject except me and Mathieas yelling at each other, but I do think this Bridge-lane closing thing is fascinating.
Its clear that Christie's aides orchestrated this. What Christie actually knew is yet to be shown; he denies any knowledge and that may stick.
Am more interested in this point in the motive - what were they penalizing the mayor of Fort Lee for? There's some evidence Christie's team worked hard to get Democratic mayor endorsements in his re-election bid, but this kind of retaliation was not going to help with that.

Once again illustrates the danger of unrestrained power.
this is very true. power corrupts, period. i've seen attempts to shade this left or right on twitter, but its not a partisan thing. interesting Bridget Anne Kelly and David Wildstein were both using "private" email accounts to set this up, an obvious attempt to evade public records laws. i can understand its invasive for public officials to have all their emails read, but government needs to be open, you can't be hiding this stuff.
Also, the media has already paid more attention to this 'scandal' than Bengahzi, IRS, Fast & Furious, Obamacare (you can keep your doctor) combined. Shocking!
sure obamacare hasn't got any press coverage.
As for Benghazni, IRS, and Fast&Furious, and New Black Panthers, and his forged birth certificate. I am still outraged that Obama's gay affairs have not been covered as much as #bridgegate as well. i mean, its a scandal, and all scandals must be treated equally.
