Good question. I think not. He still averages over a solid million views on each video (with some well above that). But I don't see him succeeding in a bad-concept sitcom format, where he'll need to grow a bigger audience.

Considering he can't act and one million isn't much in TV land, and NBC is in a downward spiral, I don't think so. Craig Frank is in a sitcom on ABC starting in January, but that will be different since he is an actor and not the star. This is more like Fred, but not aimed at children.

Just from the perspective of someone who knows Shane...he's worked really really hard for many years to transition from web to TV. So the fact that he's gotten to this point makes me really happy for him.
But I am also curious to see what it leads to and how it turns out.
