variety.com/2014/digital/news/legendary-buys-felicia-day-geek-sundry-1201275126/The--- I don't really know what to call it -- the collection of youtube channels and hulu shows run by Felicia Day and friends have been bought by Legendary which also owns Chris Hardwicks Nerdist network? I don't know what this means aside from she got some cash and now works for them. Larger companies are buying up YouTube channels left and right right.

totally unclear if there was cash exchanged in the deal? but it could be a consolidation to make a unit that appeals more to Disney and whoever else thinks they need to buy up this stuff.

I didn't see any details about the deal, but I assumed they got money. Usually when someone buys something they give you money; however, she might have gotten stock in Legendary or they assumed debt, how could they have debt?, or something else. Maybe she was paid in ponies. In related news, I am taking offers from any and all large multi-national media conglomerates who wish to purchase my YouTube network. Combined the various branded channels, which appeal to the coveted 18 to 84 demographic have over 4000 views. I'm also willing to throw in my Twitter account if that sweetens the deal.

New Media is starting to look a lot like old media.
